Our Purpose
Hazara Youth Journal is dedicated to amplifying the voices, stories, ideas, and creative work of Hazara youth across the globe.
The journal provides a space for young writers, students, researchers, artists, and emerging leaders to publish essays, articles, poems, short stories, reflections, interviews, and creative works in English, Farsi/Dari, and Hazaragi. It is designed to encourage critical thinking, cultural expression, historical awareness, and meaningful dialogue among Hazara youth and the broader community.
Hazara Youth Journal is more than a publication platform. It is a space for learning, confidence-building, representation, and youth leadership. Through writing and storytelling, the journal seeks to help young people document their experiences, explore their identity, preserve their heritage, and engage with issues affecting their communities, including education, migration, culture, history, human rights, gender, leadership, and diaspora life.
The journal welcomes original contributions from youth and emerging writers at different stages of their academic and creative journey. Submissions are reviewed through an editorial process that supports quality, clarity, respect, and responsible publication while encouraging new voices to grow.
By connecting youth writers, readers, mentors, editors, and volunteers, Hazara Youth Journal aims to build a new generation of thoughtful storytellers, researchers, and community leaders committed to knowledge, creativity, cultural preservation, and positive change.
